After nearly two years on the run, an ex-policeman and his brother, a former Barangay Chairman, both wanted for allegedly murdering a political rival and wounding another victim in Abulog, Cagayan in 2012, were finally caught by the CIDG on October 20, 2014 in Manila.


The brothers, ALVIN DALLUAY y Deza, Ex-Barangay Chairman of Barangay Centro, Abulog Cagayan, and former policeman PO3 ALLAN DALLUAY y Deza were found hiding at No. 1933 Guazon St. Barangay 832, Zone 90, Manila, by a manhunt team of the CIDG Detection and Special Operations Unit (CIDG-DSOU) led by PSUPT Zacarias Noel Villegas, at around 3:00 in the afternoon yesterday.


PDIR Benjamin B. Magalong stated that the said fugitives were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) in Region 2 after they were implicated in the murder of Narding Carrao and wounding Florian Bugaring in Abulog, Cagayan in 2012.


Police investigation revealed that the former policeman and Carrao were reported to have gotten into a heated argument sometime in September 2011, that eventually led to an assault by Carrao's group, allegedly firing gunshots at his house. On the evening of October 28, 2012, another shooting incident took place in the parking lot of Laz-Bon Cockpit Arena, Sta. Filomena, Abulug, Cagayan that resulted in the death of Carrao and the injury of Bugaring. Witnesses claimed that the Dalluay brothers acted in retaliation and were responsible in the shooting of the two victims.

The brothers were arrested by virtue of Warrants of Arrest for Murder and Frustrated Murder issued by Judge Oscar Saldivar of RTC 33 and 34, Ballesteros, Cagayan. xxx

The CIDG together with other PNP law enforcers conducted a 2-day police operation in different areas of the country which is in accordance with the directive of Secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas II to escalate the fight against criminality.


One of the operations carried out in Brgy. Poblacion and Brgy. Binoatan, both in Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur was the service of search warrants on October 16, 2014 (3AM) against NOHMAN ANDI BUTITO, MANALAG ABU BUTITO, ABONOR SINDATOC MALIDO, PAHAD MUDAPIL TANTONG and MOGUIAHID CAGAS COSAIN.


The search by the detectives of WESTMINCIDU-CIDG led by PSUPT Luisito Magnaye, along with the operatives of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, PRO9 RPSB-EOD, and PDEA resulted in the arrest of Manalao Abu Butito, where he was found in possession of H&R Arms Corp. 7.62mm, M14 Rifle, 19 live ammos and 2 pcs M14 magazines andAbdulmaola Cagas Cosain,who was in possession of Caliber 5.56mm, M16 Rifle, Cal.45 pistol, Cal.38 SW revolver, Cal.22 Rifle and assorted live ammos. Drug paraphernalia was also recovered in the said areas.


That same day, in Brgy San Isidro, Mondragon, Northern Samar, the 8RCIDU-CIDG detectives together with Mondragon MPS arrested one ROMY SEGUERA Y DE GUIA covered by an ALIAS warrant of arrest for violation of RA 8353 (Anti-Rape Law of 1997) in relation to RA 7610 (Child Abuse Law).


Seguera is listed No. 2 Most Wanted Person in the Municipality of Mondragon, Northern Samar.


On October 15, 2014, the NELCIDU-CIDG agents headed by PSSUPT Froilan Perez together with RIU 02 and Ilagan Police Station nabbed LITO RESURECCION YMACUGAY in Brgy Namnama, Ilagan City for Murder covered by a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Andrew Barcena of SJR, Branch 17, City of Ilagan, Isabela.


In another operation by the same agents of NELCIDU, one Angelo Casilian y Alariao was collared in Brgy Gaddang, Aparri, Cagayan by virtue of a warrant of arrest for Murder issued by Presiding Judge Neljoe A. Cortes of RTC Br. 06, Aparri, Cagayan.


The arrested persons are detained in the detaining facility of the operating teams. Butito and Cosain are facing charges for violations of RA10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition) and RA 9165 (Dangerous Drug Act).xxx

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group based in Cebu arrested Edgar MAGTULIS y Ngitngit, the Regional Most Wanted Person listed in the Police Regional Office 6 yesterday (August 28, 2014) at around 2:30 in the afternoon at Sitio Simpriviva, Barangay San Jose La Libertad, Negros Occidental said Police Director Benjamin B Magalong, Director, CIDG.

In a report of PSSupt Richie M Posadas, Regional Chief of 7RCIDG submitted to PDir Magalong said that Magtugis was arrested by the team of PCI Alladin Dingal and PI Teofilo Juanata on the strength of Warrant of Arrest for RAPE with HOMICIDE in relation to RA 7610 (Child Abuse) under cc # 2079, with no bail recommended; and for Frustrated Murder issued by Hon Executive Judge Henry Trocino in March 2004.

Posadas added that the incident for Rape with Homicide happened in March 2004, wherein the victim was identified as @Marifee, a 16 year-old minor of Barangay Poblacion, Bago City.

The arrested person was properly turned over to Negros Occidental Provincial Jail for his custody.xxxxx

Detectives of the newly activated Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Special Task Group “PIVOT NCR” (Priority Investigation of High Value and Other Targets in the National Capital Region) have arrested notorious motorcycle riding criminals ALVIN NIDUA y Nuyda and his accomplice, JOEL PALACIO on the evening of August 13, after a brief armed encounter in Brgy. 381, Lower Bicutan, C6 Road, Taguig City.

Following the arrest, Police Director BENJAMIN B. MAGALONG, Director of CIDG stated that detectives launched an in-depth investigation and additional information gathered over the last few weeks has led to the discovery that Nidua is one of the primary suspects in the killing of several people in Metro Manila, Laguna, Camarines Sur and in the Bicol region. Aside from numerous charges for Murder and Frustrated Murder, Nidua has been wanted by authorities for other crimes, such as robbery with homicide and illegal possession of firearms and explosives, and is also allegedly involved in the plans to kill several politicians in Antipolo, Pampanga, and Tarlac.

PDIR MAGALONG reported that the spouse of one of the victims has positively identified Nidua as the culprit behind the killing of SPO4 Rogelio Salver y Garcia at Purok 5, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, sometime in October 2010.


On August 15, 2014, suspects Nidua and Palacio were brought for inquest proceedings before the Office of Assistant Prosecutor Arthur A. Pefianco of Taguig Prosecutor’s Office, for criminal cases filed against them for violations of Illegal Possession of Firearms (PD 1866, as amended by RA 8294, in relation to RA 10591) and for Direct Assault (Article 148 of the Revised Penal Code).

Nidua and Palacio were suspected to be involved in several shooting incidents in Taguig City, Pasay and Laguna. An alleged contract killer, Nidua is also being linked to the shooting to death of several people in Camarines Sur and another victim in Daraga, Albay last month.

The CIDG detectives headed by Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director, conducted operations on wanted persons that led to the apprehension of 39 suspects in different areas of the country.

Most of the crimes committed were Carnapping, Rape, Falsification of Public Document by a Public Officer and Murder.

One of the significant accomplishments of the CIDG probers was the
arrest of ANTHONY LUSTINA Y OLIGARIO by 1RCIDU under the direct supervision of PSSUPT Francisco Esguerra,Regional Chief, last August 6, 2014 in Barangay Pula, Tagudin, Ilocos Sur on the strength of 2 warrants of arrest issued by Judge Mario Anacleto M. Bañez for Rape.

Meantime, in the afternoon of the same date, the NELCIDU detectives under the direct supervision of PSSUPT Froilan Perez, Regional Chief, captured MAURA LACERNA Y VINOYA, a retired public teacher, in Barangay Oscariz, Ramon, Isabela who was charged with Falsification of Public Document by a Public Officer and such arrest was covered by a warrant of arrest.

While on August 5, 2014, the manhunt team of 6RCIDU along with the operatives of RIU6, RIU14, R2 PRO6, R2 PROCOR and MIG6, NICA 1 & 6 arrested one EDUARDO ESTEBAN Y ALMORES at Block 3, Phase 2, Land Heights Subdivision, Barangay Buntala, Jaro, Iloilo on the strength of a warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder.

Esteban is allegedly a member of the CNN and during his arrest, a hand grenade, calibre .38 revolver and several ammunition were confiscated from his possession.

Another triumphant operation was conducted by the detectives of 1RCIDU together with Solsona MPS, PIB-Ilocos Norte PPO, wherein the authorities served 3 warrants of arrest against RUEL RUIZ Y ROSARIO @ WELWEL issued by Judge Francisco RD Quilala of RTC, FJR, Branch 14, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and Judge Manuel L. Argel, Jr of RTC, FJR, Branch 65, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte for Carnapping.

The arrested suspects were detained in the detaining facilities of the operating teams prior to their turn-over to courts of origin.

A notorious motorcycle-riding criminal, wanted for several counts of Murder, Frustrated Murder and Robbery with Homicide was arrested after a brief armed encounter with investigators of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) along C6 Road, Taguig City yesterday, August 13.

Suspect ALVIN NIDUA y Nuyda, a known gun-for-hire criminal and who has five (5) standing warrants of arrest for various crimes, resisted his arrest and engaged in a brief firefight with the detectives of the CIDG Special Operating Unit, led by Police Superintendent Noel Villegas, in Brgy. 381, Lower Bicutan, C6 Road, Taguig City at about 9:00 PM, last night (August 13, 2014).

The detectives served warrants issued by the Legaspi City RTC and by the Marikina City RTC based on Murder, Robbery with Homicide, Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Physical Injuries and two Frustrated Murder cases filed against him.

PDIR BENJAMIN B MAGALONG, Director of the CIDG reported that Nidua is listed as the No. 3 Most Wanted Person in Camalig, Albay, Bicol Region and one of CIDG’s priority targets.

Dir Magalong further stated that the suspect has been under surveillance by manhunt teams of the CIDG for almost a month. Nidua has been very elusive but the intensified investigations and stakeout operations of the CIDG finally put an end to the streak of his criminal activities in Metro Manila and in the CALABARZON area.

As a result of the armed encounter, Nidua sustained gunshot wounds and was brought to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital for medical treatment. A certain JOEL PALACIO y Panganiban was also arrested, after joining Nidua during the shootout.

Investigators also confiscated two caliber .45 pistols from suspects Nidua and Palacio. Aside from the warrants of arrests served against Nidua, he is now facing criminal charges for Illegal Possession of Firearms and for Direct Assault.

Palacio, on the other hand, will also be charged with illegal possession of firearms and direct

Just this morning August 4, 2014, the AOCU-CIDG detectives under the direct supervision of PSUPT Alexander Tagum arrested ROMEO DESPE Y LLUZ who has a standing warrant of arrest for Murder issued by Judge Cesar Cinco of RTC Branch 19 in Northern Samar in his rented house in Parañaque City said Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director.

Magalong added the suspect has been hiding from the law for 14 years after killing Donald Melano in Northern Samar sometime in 1997. Despe is listed as one of the top Most Wanted Person of Region 8.

The North Eastern Luzon CIDG (NELCIDU) continues to raise the bar in its commitment to the directive of the CIDG Chief, Police Director Benjamin B Magalong to increase crime solution efficiency and arrest of more criminals in the region, resulting in the arrest of four felons within just two days of its law enforcement operations.

In a written report to PDIR Magalong, PSSUPT Froilan DG Perez, Chief of the NELCIDU said that their manhunt operations has resulted in the arrest of four suspects, with standing warrants of arrests issued by various courts in the provinces of Quirino, Cagayan and Isabela.

In the early morning of July 28,2014 detectives served a warrant against MABETTE LOPEZ y Ligutan, a suspect of Attempted Robbery in Brgy. Buyun, Penablanca, Cagayan. The manhunt operation against her was based on a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Raymond Reynold R. Lauigan of RTC Branch 1, Tuguegarao City.

At around 2:00 in the afternoon of the same day, RODOLFO BALICHA y Aquino, a suspect accused of Acts of Lasciviousness was arrested in his residence at Brgy. Dungo, Aglipay, Quirino by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Mayumi A. Abergas of the Municipal Trial Court of Cabarroguis, Quirino.

Still on the same day and in the same town, another offender named LORETO TADENA y Macaraig was apprehended by NELCIDU operatives in his residence in Brgy. Mangandingay, Cabarroguis, Quirino. Tadena was arrested for Physical Injury charges filed against him, based on the Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Andrew P. Dulnuan of RTC, Branch 31, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

Even on weekends, manhunt operations of the NELCIDU did not go slow. Detectives arrested one GIL VERSOZA y Bayan, a bank employee, who was charged for violations of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children). Said suspect of domestic abuse was arrested in Brgy. Alibagu, Ilagan City, Isabela, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Rodolfo B. Dizon of RTC, SJR of Branch 18, Ilagan City, Isabela.

8 persons suspected of various crimes were apprehended in separate operations across the country by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) yesterday, July 22, 2014.One of the successful arrests was carried out by joint personnel of Quezon City CIDG, led by PCINSP Wilfredo Sy and the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the QCPD. Armed with warrants of arrest issued by Judge Bernelito R. Fernandez of RTC, NCJR, Branch 97, Quezon City, CIDG detectives executed the warrants at CM Recto Avenue, Divisoria, and Manila against EMIL CALISA @ “LONGHAIR” /EMILIANO.

After 7 years in hiding, Calisa was finally arrested by the police. He was listed as the No. 2 Most Wanted Person in Quezon City, and has been wanted for charges of Murder and Frustrated Murder he reportedly committed in Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City in 2007. His co-accused identified as Reynaldo Canciller was already arrested by the CIDG in March 2014.

Simultaneously, the Iloilo CIDG detectives led by PCINSP Fernando Salvatierra, collared ROWEL PENASALES Y Castillano in Barangay Rizal, Lapaz, Iloilo City, for violation of RA 8293, also known as the Intellectual Property Code, by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Victorino Maniba of RTC, Branch 39, Iloilo City. Also in Ilo-ilo, the same CIDG detectives executed a warrant of arrest issued by RTC Branch 68, Dumangas, Iloilo City, against RONALDO DECIERO Y DIAZ for violation of RA 7610 (Child Abuse) in Barangay Balantian, Balasan, Iloilo.

In Tacloban City, detectives of 8RCIDG led by PSINSP Noel Mondragon captured one PHILFA DELA CRUZ-YU Y CARCEDO at the AXA Insurance Company, 3rd floor Dynasty Square Building, Zamora Street, Tacloban City, for violation of BP Blg 22 (20 counts of Estafa).

At the same time, one GAVINO VERGINISA Y MORA, voluntarily surrendered to the detectives of Tacloban CIDG, in connection with the warrant of arrest against him for Violation of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act) issued by Judge Yolanda U Dagandan, RTC, Branch 7, Tacloban City.

All of the arrested suspects are now under the custody of the various CIDG operating teams who conducted the successful operations.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) headed by Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong has once again proved its worth as the premier investigative arm of the PNP following the arrest of a fugitive who went into hiding from the law for 11 years.

Based on a report to Magalong by PSSUPT Ritchie Medardo A. Posadas, Regional Chief of 7RCIDU, the accused, identified as CARLO MARQUESES Y MOLLENO @ CALOY, was apprehended yesterday morning by the 7RCIDU detectives led by PINSP Teofilo Juanata Jr. and a team from Divilacan MPS in Zone 2, Barangay Bicobian, Divilacan, Isabela on the strength of an alias warrant of arrest for MURDER issued by Judge Honesto A Villamor, Presiding Judge of RTC 5th Judicial Region, Branch 52, Sorsogon, Sorsogon.

Magalong revealed that sometime in July 2003, a security guard named Gregorio Venus Jr, detailed at Cellsite Compound, Barangay Dao, Pilar, Sorsogon was killed by Marqueses by hitting said victim with a hard wood in the head.

Magalong said the assailant is listed as Number 5 Most Wanted Person in PRO5 (Regional Level) with a monetary reward of Php 140,000 for his capture.

Marqueses is detained at the Divilacan MPS and will be brought to Isabela PPO for proper

The CIDG Team has once again proved their stern commitment to uphold the law, and to reduce and deter crime and criminals.
Just yesterday July 7, 2014, five persons were served with warrants of arrest after the CIDG detectives conducted different operations in their areas of responsibility.

At 1:00 in the afternoon, the 6 RCIDU manhunt team, under the direct supervision of Regional Chief PSUPT Peter Naboye, arrested one ROLANDO CASTILLANO y ARIMAS in BarangayBlumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental for the crime of Frustrated Murder on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Philadelfa Agraviador of RTC Branch 43, Bacolod City.

Thirty minutes after, the manhunt team of Tarlac CIDT arrested JOEMAR VALENCIA Y INOCENCIO at Barangay San Rafael, Tarlac City, by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Lily C. De Vera-Vallo of RTC, Branch 64, Tarlac City for Robbery with Homicide.

While the NCRCIDG Acting Regional Chief, PCINSP Arnold Thomas Ibay together with PCINSP Jovit Culaway and Atty Joseph Baccay served the warrant of arrest issued by the Third Division, Sandiganbayan for violation of Section 3, RA 3019 of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices against SENATOR JUAN PONCE ENRILE at the PNP General Hospital where he is temporarily detained after his voluntary surrender last July 4, 2014.

Meantime, the detectives of 1RCIDU headed by PSSUPT Francisco Esguerra together with Aringay PS (LUPPO) nabbed MICHAEL CARREON Y SAGUIRRE at Barangay Dulao, Aringay, La Union, by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ethelwolda A. Jaravata of RTC Branch 32. Agoo, La Union for violation of RA 9262.

At 5:10PM, the detectives of NORMINCIDU under the direct supervision of PSSUPT Pedro Austria, collared ALEX SAYAGO Y PAVILLARAN in Purok 6, Barangay Tambo, Iligan City for violation of Sections2 and 5a of RA 9262 by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Anisah Amanodin-Umpa of RTC, Branch 2, Iligan City.

Arrested persons are presently detained at the detaining facility of the operating teams while Senator Enrile is under hospital arrest at the PNP General

This successful operation is in consonance with the directive of SILG Mar Roxas to the whole PNP organization to strengthen the manhunt operation against most wanted persons nationwide.

Yesterday at around 5:00 PM (June 30, 2014) detectives of NCLCIDU led by PCINSP Roland Culiao conducted an operation resulted to the apprehension of No. 1 Most Wanted Person identified as DOMINADOR ABENES y CACHEROat his residence in Marangad, Brgy. Run-runo, Nueva Vizcaya.

Based on the report of PSSupt Jimmy Catanes, Regional Chief, NCLCIDU to PDir Benjamin Magalong, CIDG, Director, the arrest of Abenes was on the strength of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of RAPE (2 counts) issued on September 16, 2013 by Judge Ag Laoagan, RTC Br. 64, Abatan, Buguias, Benguet under Criminal Case No. 975-CR-13 and 976-CR-13 with no bail recommended.

Catanes said Abenes’ victim was identified as one Fenolia Baewis, 21 years old on the time incident happened and had been raped twice after the assailant forced to enter into her grandfather’s house in Brgy Abatan, Buguias, Benguet sometime of August and October respectively and become pregnant and gave her birth last August 2013.

Meanwhile, the arrested suspect was brought to the office of NCLCIDU for booking and documentation prior to the return of warrant of arrest to court

A killer of a DENR employee and said to be one of the suspects in the heinous killing of the Brgy Chairwoman

Thelma Bocalbos y Arenego of Brgy Calautit, Bacnotan, La Union that happened on October 2, 2011 has been arrested by the detectives of the CIDG.

Just this morning (June 25, 2014), in Brgy Antonio, Balaoan, La Union, team of CIDG based in La Union headed by PSSUPT Francisco Esguerra together with some members of La Union PPO arrested RONALD OMO Y BUCOY by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by the RTC La Union for the crime of MURDER.

Esguerra added in his report to PDir Benjamin B Magalong, Director CIDG said OMO is also member of the notorious "Ordinado" criminal group engaged in gun-for-hire, extortion and robbery activities operating in La Union.

The diligence and dedication of Team CIDG to accomplish their task paved the way for the successful arrest of most wanted persons

A fugitive for 15 years has been collared by the joint manhunt team of 7RCIDU led by Police Superintendent Medardo Posadas, Regional Chief and La Union PPO personnel, in coordination with Dinalungan MPS, Aurora PPO in Poblacion Zone 2, Dinalungan, Aurora Province around 3PM yesterday June 24, 2014.

In a report to Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director, said detectives arrested GLENN BAMBALAN Y DE GUZMAN by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for MURDER issued by Judge Luis M. Fontanilla of RTC Branch 42, Dagupan City, Pangasinan.

The assailant is listed as Most Wanted Person in Region 1 with a monetary reward of P140, 000 as per DILG for his capture.

The CIDG's persistent fight to hunt most wanted persons resulted to the successful arrest yesterday (June 23, 2014 4:45 pm) of one ERNESTO TAPIADOR Y CABALLEJO who killed aBarangay Kagawad in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan sometime in October 2013.

Based on a written report made to CIDG Director Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong by PSSUPT Francisco Esguerra, the detectives of 1RCIDU, Pangasinan CIDG and operatives ofUrbiztondo MPS captured Tapiador on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Hermogenes Fernandez of Branch 56, San Carlos City, Pangasinan for the crime of Murder.

Magalong said the victim identified as Barangay Kagawad Eduardo Balocating succumbed to a gunshot wound in his chest from a caliber .45 allegedly fired by Tapiador right after theBarangay election.

Magalong further said such killing was election related/politically motivated.

Magalong also revealed the warrant was timely served since allegedly the suspect had a plan of escaping from the law.

The accused is presently under the custody of Pangasinan CIDG Office for proper documentation before he will be turned-over to the court of

The CIDG detectives conducted a 3-day manhunt operation that led to the arrest of twenty-two criminals and killed one when he engaged himself in a shoot-out with the authorities, said Police Director Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director.

Most of the criminal acts violated by the arrested suspects were the crimes of Murder, Rape, Robbery and Illegal Possession of Firearms.

One of the significant accomplishments of the CIDG team was the arrest on June 15, 2014 of one JUNIE BATALUNA Y LAWAS who was nabbed by the detectives of NORMINCIDU-CIDG led by PCINSP Joseph T. Nandu, Jr. in Hillside, Barangay Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Florencia D. Sealana-Abbu of RTC, Branch 17, Cagayan de Oro City for Murder. BATALUNA is an escapee from Provincial Jail Capitol, Cagayan De Oro sometime in September 2011. During the arrest, the accused fired his gun against the operating team that forced the latter to retaliate and eventually caused BATALUNA’s death. Recovered from the deceased possession were 1 caliber .38 revolver loaded with live ammunition and 3 pieces of fired cartridge caliber .38 and 1 piece live ammo.

Meanwhile, in the morning of Saturday (June 14, 2014), the NELCIDU detectives apprehended REQUINO DACMEG Y BULANIT in his residence at P-2, Barangay Gayong, CordonIsabela. The suspect’s arrest was by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Anastacio Anghad of RTC Branch 36, Santiago City for Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition.Dacmeg is a member of Julio Bedking Acetylene Group and Peter Sumedca Acetylene Group operating nationwide.

In addition, on June 13, 2014 at 8:30 PM, somewhere in Zone 7, Barangay Guindaponan, Palo, Leyte, the detectives of 8RCIDU led by PCINSP Patrick Freddie G. Vano arrested one JOMAR VILLAMOR Y MONTUBIG for violation of RA 9165. Accused is also an ecapee from Leyte Provincial Jail, during the Typhoon Yolanda on November 8, 2013.

All arrested criminals were brought to the detention cells of the operating teams before their turn-over to the courts of origin.

Just today at 9:30 AM, a key leader and a financier of the Abu Sayyaf Group also tagged as a bomber with a headprize of 1.2 Million Pesos and500,000 US dollars Reward under US Reward for Justice was arrested by the combined Forces of QC CIDT, NCR CIDG led by PSSUPT Roberto Fajardo, PSUPT DaniloMacerin and PCI Wilfredo Sy, Intelligence Security Forces of the AFP, and NCRPO-NICA members.

PDIR Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director, identified the captured ASG leader as 50-year old KHAIR MUNDOS on the strength of a warrant of arrest for Multiple Murder, Multiple Frustrated and Multiple Attempted Murder issued by RTC 12th JR, Branch 17 of Kidapawan City.

Magalong revealed accused MUNDOS bolted Kidapawan Provincial Jail in 2007 thru the help of other members of his group and said to be included in the target list of CIDG.

Magalong added the manhunt teams conducted in depth surveillance for two months that resulted to MUNDOS’ arrest in his in-laws’ residence at A. Bonifacio St.Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

MUNDOS arrest will be processed by the NCR-CDIG detectives before turning over to Kidapawan Provincial

MIHAJI HAMJUDA @MAHANG , with 3 standing warrants for multiple Murder and Frustrated Murder, had been arrested yesterday morning by the CIDG detectives based in SULU, PDIR Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director said.

Magalong added the combined team from CIDG 9, headed by PSUPT Luisito Magnaye, MIG9, 52SAC, Indana MPS, MBLT9 and JTFS2 served the warrant of arrest issued by the Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region Branch 4, Parang Sulu in his hideout in Ummul Qurrah, Barangay Kajatian, Indanan Sulu.

Magalong further stated the subject of warrant is said to be responsible in the September 2009 bombing in Kagay Roadside, Jolo, Sulu that brought death to 2 American soldiers, a Filipino Marine and injury to three others in Barangay Kagay in Indanan.

The detectives of CIDG have ceaselessly adhered to their mandated task to hunt most wanted persons hiding all over the country.

The CIDU detectives arrested yesterday evening a certain PO1 WARDEN  LEGAWAN Y KUSAIN, one of the suspects in the gruesome Maguindanao massacre. The arrest was by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes, Regional Trial Court Branch 221 Of Quezon City for Murder (56  counts).

Based on the report submitted by PSSUPT Albert Ignatius Ferro, CIDU Chief, to PDIR Benjamin B. Magalong, CIDG Director, Legawan was apprehended at the vicinity of Bicutan exit near Landbank, Gen. Santos Avenue, Bicutan, Taguig City.

Magalong further stated the subject had another warrant of arrest for Malversation of Government Property issued by Judge Bansawan Z. Ibrahim, Al Haj of RTC Branch 13, Cotabato City.

In addition, Legawan, with a head prize of Php 250,000, is the 115th suspect arrested, following the capture of a former PNP officer also involved in the massacre.  All in all, there are 195 suspects initially charged in court for said crime.

Legawan was cooperative at the time of his arrest.  He further expressed his desire and willingness to be a state witness if the prosecution will allow.  The suspect is currently being processed for court presentation and thereafter commitment to jail.

A certain SANDY MALACA y RUPAN also known as Kumander JAMAY/ANGEL of Komite-2, Larangan Girelya 77, Komite Probinsiya- Camarines Sur was nabbed by the detectives of NCRCIDU led by PCI Renante Galang together with the elements of Local Police of Camarines Sur and some members of the Philippine Army, yesterday afternoon.

In a report submitted by NCRCIDU Regional Chief PSSUPT Roberto Fajardo to PDIR Benjamin B. Magalong Director of CIDG, a warrant of arrest for the crime of murder was issued by Judge Noel Paulite of RTC, 5th Judicial Region, San Jose Camarines Sur and was served against the suspect in his residence at JP Rizal St. Centennial 2, Nagpayong, Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Fajardo added that MALACA is responsible in the killing of two members of Philippine Army onFebruary 9, 2007 in Barangay Inuyonan, Bula, Camarines Sur. The subject of warrant has been turned-over to the court of origin. This significant accomplishment is in accordance with the CPNP’s Transformation Program.

Deniece Cornejo y Vargas has voluntarily surrendered to the CPNP  today (May 5, 2014) at 4:15 in the afternoon. It was facilitated by PNP HRAO Chief, PCSUPT Prudencio Tom T. Bañas, who received surrender feelers from Miss Cornejo.  A warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Paz Esperanza M. Cortes of Taguig RTC Branch 271 on April 21, 2014 against Cornejo and 4 others for  Serious Illegal Detention.

Cornejo  is accused in the mauling incident against Vhong Navarro, TV Host of a noontime show, in an upscale condominium unit in Taguig City on January 22, 2014.   Navarro, on the other hand, filed several cases against the suspect and her cohorts where the trial court charged them with Grave Coercion and Serious Illegal Detention in which the latter is considered a non-bailable offense.

The WCPU Team of CIDG led by PSUPT Emma Trinidad and PINSP Helen dela Cruz will follow the procedure of documentation like booking, fingerprinting and taking  mugshots of the suspect.  Thereafter, warrant will be returned to the court of origin. As of this moment, the accused is under the custody of CIDG. xxx

The CIDG escalates its campaign against Most Wanted Persons which germinated in the capture of a former COA chief who is charged with
plunder case along with former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

In a written report to PDIR Benjamin B. Magalong, Director of CIDG byPSSupt Roberto B. Fajardo, Regional Chief of NCRCIDU, the arrested person identified as REYNALDO VILLAR y ALANO was apprehended at No. 5 Washington Square, Merville Park, Parañaque City at 4:00P.M. yesterday (April 24,2014) by the CIDG Manhunt Team led by PCI Romeo R Nino.

Fajardo added that the team CIDG implemented the warrant of arrest issued by Sandiganbayan, First Division after weeks of surveillance on the activity of Villar. Fajardo said, arrested suspect will be presented to the issuing court for further return of warrant of arrest after the documentation.Magalong, on the other hand, stated that continuous manhunt against two other co-accused, former PCSO general manager Rosario Uriarte and formerboard member Ma.

Fatima Valdes, are being conducted. This significant accomplishment undoubtedly shows that CIDG team is extremely dedicated to the mandated tasks and in harmony with the Chief PNP’s Transformation

Arrest of No. 3 MWP (Municipal level) in Albay.

Team from 5RCIDU headed by PSSUPT Harris Fama conducted police operation in the afternoon of April 23, 2014 at Brgy Bagtang, Daraga, Albay, 5RCIDU that resulted in the  arrest of MATEO MIRABUEN0 a.k.a "Pocholo" for the crime of Robbery with Rape under CC # 12232 issued by Hon. Judge MA. Theressa G. San Juan-Logulla of RTC Branch 10, Legazpi City. Subject person is the number 3 MWP of Daraga MPS and is now in the custody of Albay CIDT.

One of the rapists of a 27-year old nurse who was allegedly raped in December 31, 2012 inside a call center office in Ortigas, Pasig City was captured by the detectives of DSOU-CIDG led by PSI Ezmar Navarra last night of April 7, 2014 said PCSUPT Benjamin B Magalong, Acting Director of CIDG.

In a report of PSUPT Romeo A Baleros, DSOU Chief, a suspect HAROLD GAUFO Y GUALBERTO was arrested inside Plaza D Northgate Cyberzone, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang-Zapote Road, Muntinlupa City by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Elisa R Sarmiento-Flores, NJCR/RTC, Branch 71, Pasig City for the crime of RAPE. Baleros told that the victim, who was working as a nurse in a call center, was raped inside the clinic where she was sleeping during that time.

It was further stated that 7 suspects perpetrated the said crime, wherein 6 of them are still at-large. Further, GAUFO has been turned-over to the court concerned.

The successful result of the operation was in furtherance with the Chief PNP’s Transformation Program enforced

For merely two days of manhunt operations, 7 rape suspects in an intensified drive vs perpetrators of crimes against women were successfully arrested by the CIDG in the latter’s different areas of responsibility.  These accomplishments manifest the aggressive stance of the CIDG Team in the fight against MWPs said PCSupt Benjamin B Magalong, Acting Director, CIDG.

In the morning of March 24, 2014, the 4A-RCIDU manhunt team headed by PSSuprt Felipe Natividad conducted an operation at Purok 5, Barangay Bigaa, Cabuyao, Laguna that led in the arrest of IRENEO CAPISTRANO y Alarcon by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape issued by Judge Marino Rubia of RTC, Br. 24, Biñan,Laguna.

On the same day in San Antonio, Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, detectives of NORMINCIDU arrested NARCISO DIONALDO y Laurente @Larry Dionaldo  for Qualified Statutory Rape and Rape by virtue of Warrant of Arrest duly issued by Judge Sheila Marie A. Ignacio, Presiding Judge, RTC, 4th JR, Branch 80, Morong, Rizal.

Meanwhile, PSSUPT Ismael Fernandez said that the investigators and detectives of 3rd RCIDU Bataan arrested ARIEL BONIFACIO in a hot pursuit operation in Barangay Bacong, Hermosa, Bataan based on the complaint of her own DAUGHTER, @ANA.  The suspect allegedly raped his own daughter inside their house on March 24, 2014 and further recounted that she was raped several times when she was 15 years old.

Concurrently, the detectives of 1st RCIDU arrested WILLAIM YARAMON y Legaspi @Wilfredo in Barangay Poblacion, Aringay, La Union on March 24, 2014 by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Ethelwoda Jaravata of RTC, Branch 32, Agoo, La Union for the crime of Rape.

Same detectives of 1st RCIDU served a Warrant of Arrest against EMMANUEL DULAY y Dalisay in the same province of La Union.  The warrant was issued by Honorable Judge Ethelwolda Jaravata of RTC, Branch 32, Agoo, and La Union for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610.

Furthermore, a certain MARIO BALIKDANG CARTING was captured last weekend in Monpolia, Hungduan, Ifugao by the detectives of NCLCIDU Ifugao headed by PSSupt Jimmy Catanes and NELCIDU Quirino by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by Judge Eupren F. Changale of RTC Branch 32, Cabarroguis, Quirino for the crime of Incestuous Rape.

Another triumphant operation led in the arrest of EDGARDO DINSAAN @ Ingang  by the detectives of Southern Mindanao CIDU, Lebak MPS, and Sultan Kudarat PPO. The subject was captured in Sitio Minsubong, Barangay Bolebak, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat by virtue of a WOA issued by Judge Renato B Gleyo of RTC Branch 20, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

The astounding results of the operations conducted were in furtherance with the PNP Transformation Program enforced countrywide.

CIDG ARRESTS MWP in Region 4B with Php300,000. headprize

Fugitive for 20 years was arrested yesterday (March 20, 2014) by the combined detectives of 7th RCIDU, and 4TH RCIDU- A&B led by PI Teofilo S Juanata, Jr., said PCSUPT Benjamin B Magalong, Acting Director, CIDG.  

PSSupt Richie M Posadas, Regional Chief, 7th CIDG identified the arrested suspect as GERARDO NAMIAS Y TABARNO, 43, and a native of Sta. Catalina, Negros Oriental. Juanata said namias was arrested in his workplace located at Brgy Paliparan 3, Dasmarinas City by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of MURDER issued in RTC of Branch 49 Puerto Princesa.

Based on the information, Namias is responsible in the killing of his fellow fishermen in Puerto Princesa happened sometime in August 1994. Juanata told that arrested suspect is listed as MWP in Region 4B as per Memo Circ. 2004-11.

As of this writing, Namias is in the custody of RCIDU4 in Cavite  while preparing the documents needed for his immediate transport to issuing court (Puerto Princesa)

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group intensify its operational thrust against wanted persons following the arrest of 3 suspects for the crime of rape and other related offense in this week simultaneous operations conducted in different regions, PCSupt Benjamin Magalong, Acting Director CIDG, said today.

On Feb 6, 2014 in the evening, team of Abra CIDT arrested Amante Galla y Deproza by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Rafhiel Alzate for the crime of Rape (8 counts). PSSupt Jimmy Catanes said in his report to Magalong that suspect was arrested in the area of Brgy. Cayos, Quirino, Ilocos Sur.

Another police operation which resulted in the arrest of Jehu Ostrick Monsanto y Metania, by the elements of Northern Mindanao CIDU led PSI Pepito I Reyes. Monsanto was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of Rape by Sexual Assault.

Meanwhile, in 3RCIDU headed by PSSupt Victor Valencia conducted operation on February 6, 2014 that resulted in the arrest of JR Galon y Galagati for violation of 2 counts of Other Acts of Child Abuse under Sec. 10 of RA 7610. Warrant of arrest issued by Judge Lily C De Vera of RTC 64 Tarlac City

Simultaneous operations were conducted by operatives of CIDG over the weekend as CIDG Acting Director PCS Benjamin B Magalong intensifies the campaign against Most Wanted Person.

Another member of Acetylene Gang arrested yesterday January 19, 2014 at around 3:30 am at the Resort World Casino, Pasay City by the joint operatives of Quezon City CIDG, SMMCIDT-NCR CIDG and PRO-COR. The suspect identified as Teddy Castro y Tanacio, 37 and a native of Cayus, Quirino Ilocos Sur. Castro was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery.

On the same day, 2 suspects were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of Frustrated Murder in a separate operation conducted by 3RCIDU operatives headed by PSupt Victor Valencia. One was identified as Arnold Celez y Villacorte@Bingo, a resident of Brgy. San Gregorio, Sta.Rosa, Nueva Ecija and one Marichu Celez Baron@Chona of Brgy., San Gregorio Rizal, Nueva Ecija. Both suspects were temporarily detained at NECIDT prior to their turn-over to the proper court of origin.

Meanwhile in Davao City, last January 16, 2014, a manhunt operation was conducted by operatives of Davao Oriental CIDT led by PCI Jose Teody G Condesa which resulted in the arrest of Angelito Agustino Pan, 42 and a resident of Liberty beach Brgy. Magsaysay, Mati City, Davao Oriental. PSSUPT Joel Pernito, 11RCIDU Chief said that Agustino is listed as No. 2 Top Most Wanted Person in Provincial Level. Agustino was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive on Dangerous Drug Act).

Accomplishmnt of AOCD

CIDG Anti-Organized Crime Division headed by PSupt Alexander Tagum in coordination with Tanay Rizal PNP and with help of Civilian Volunteer arrested yesterday January 13 by virtue of warrant of arrest suspect Ruben Bedrejo y Landigohon, 45, amd a native of Ilo ilo in the area of Barangay Sampaloc, Tamay, Rixal for the crime of murder.

In a report of Tagum to PCS Benjamin B Magalong, Director CIDG said suspect has been a fugitive from law since 2008. Tagum added that Bedrejo is a suspect in the killing of Errol Daza of Dingle, Ilo ilo.

Arrested suspect is in the custody of AOCD for documentation prior to his turn over to North Dumangas, Iloilo.

8 More Wanted Persons Arrested by CIDG

Eight (8) more Wanted Persons involved in various criminal activities was arrested by Team CIDG in a separate operation today and over the weekends said PCS Benjamin B Magalong, Acting Director CIDG

RCIDU-4 arrested yesterday suspect Emmanuel Peñalosa@Emman, who is responsible in the killing of San Pablo City Councilor and Radio commentator Edgardo DC Adajar and his driver bodyguard Leonado Ronaldo y Beltran last January 2, 2013 at about 4:00 PM., in front of Old Cockpit Arena in San Pablo City, Laguna. Report of PSSupt Felipe Natividad reached this office that on a follow up operation today, cohorts of Penaloza was arrested by the team of PCI Alvin R Consolacion in Lucena City identified as Mario Aquilla for the crime of 2 counts of murder.

On January 12, 2014 suspect Joaquin Palayaban y Malicad @ Jojo, wanted for the crime of 4 counts of Rape and Frustrated Parricide was arrested by the Quezon City CIDT-NCR CIDG led by PCI Wilfredo Sy at Brgy Trenchera, Tayug, Pangasinan.

In a report submitted by PSSUPT Roberto B Fajardo, NCR-CIDG Chief to PCS Benjamin B Magalong that during the arrest they recovered a cal.45 pistol marked Colt and a Fragmentation Hand Grenade from his possession and control. Fajardo said that Illegal Possession of Firearms and Illegal Possession of Explosive Devices are charges to be filed against Malicad.

On the same day, 2 were arrested by the joint elements of 1RCDU Santiago CIDT and local police identified as Keempee de Leon Y Castillo and Jun Pascual y Arceo @ Kiko at Brgy. Rosario, Santiago City, Isabela by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery with 100,000.00 recommended bail.

Meanwhile in Negros Occidental, joint operatives of 6RCIDU headed by PSupt Jimmy A Daza and local police arrested Gabriel Antonio Hinolan, 46, of Brgy. Balintawak, Escalante Negros Occidental City on Jan 11, 2014. Arrested person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of RA 7610 (Child Abuse) under CC# 13-37843 issued by Hon Judge Philadelfa Agraviador of RTC Br. 6 Bacolod City.

On January 10, 2014, elements of Nueva Ecija CIDT captured Rogelio Dela Peña y Epifania by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610 with no bail recommended under CC# 22190-AF issued by Hon. Johnmuel Romano Mendoza, Presiding Judge of RTC Br.26, Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija.

Lastly, joint elements of Romblon CIDT and local police arrested Jimly Dela Cruz Medrano on January 9, 2014 at Brgy. Progreso Weste, Odiongan Romblon. Medrano was arrested for the crime of Murder by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Judge Jose M Madrid of RTC Br. 82 of Odiongan, Romblon under CC# OD-2293. The latter was now detained at Odiongan Municipal Jail.

As CIDG continue its mandated tasks, Magalong will presses more on intensified manhunt operations against this Wanted Persons.

Cidg 4A operatives headed by Pssupt Felipe Natividad arrested 2 suspects bros Jimmy and Romeo Pariñas for double murder case. Suspects are responsible in the killing of 2 body guards of Lagayan Mayor Cecilia Luna sometime in 1997 who went into hiding in the province of Balete, Batangas yesterday said Acting Director CIDG Pcsupt Benjamin B Magalong.

Natividad added that one of suspects Ricky Dela Cruz cousin of the duo is now serving his sentenve at the NBP for the crime charge.

In the meantime, 2 arested suspects are in the custody of Batangas Cidg then it will be turned over to court concerned in Abra.
