Six (6) alleged members of gunrunning syndicates and three (3) others were nabbed by the CIDG during the conduct of its focused and relentless police operations against gunrunning syndicates on January 18 to 20, 2019.


Reports submitted to CIDG Acting Director, PCSUPT AMADOR V CORPUS stated that five (5) firearms, a grenade, 3 magazines, 19 rounds of assorted ammunition were confiscated during the said operations.


On January 18, 2019 (Friday), armed with Search Warrant (SW), joint elements of the CIDG RFU 4A based in Rizal supervised by its Regional Chief, PSSUPT LAWRENCE CAJIPE, Rizal PPO and Binangonan MPS arrested DANIEL YAPE y BARCIAL a.k.a.”Barok” who is an alleged member of the “Marwin Lim Group” involved in gunrunning and robbery/hold-up activities in Rizal province while in possession of a caliber .45, eight (8) assorted ammunition and two (2) magazines, at about 8:30 AM in Rotary Ville, GMM Habitat Housing Project, Brgy. Darangan, Binangonan, Rizal.


On the same date, at around 11:30 AM, one JESSIENEL AGLUGUB y DUMAWIN who is an alleged member of the “De Guzman Criminal Group” involved in gunrunning activities operating in the 4th District of Isabela and Quirino Province was nabbed during an entrapment operation conducted by the CIDG RFU 2 based in Santiago City led by its Regional Chief, PSSUPT RONALD GAYO, Cauayan CPS and HPG Santiago City in Brgy. District 3, Cauayan City, Isabela for illegal possession of a caliber .38 revolver.


Still on the same date, at about 11:30 PM, 2 caliber .38 revolvers and 6 ammunition were seized from the possession of JASPER DE LEON y CLEOPAS a.k.a. “Japz” who is an alleged member of the “Mercader Criminal Group” engaged in gunrunning, gun-for-hire, robbery/hold-up and illegal drug activities operating in Rizal, Pasig and adjacent areas by detectives of the CIDG Eastern Metro Manila DFU supervised by PSUPT ARNOLD THOMAS IBAY, Regional Chief, CIDG RFU NCR during the buy-bust operation in Brgy. Kulasisi, Antipolo, Rizal.


On January 19, 2019 (Saturday), at around 10:30 AM, combined manhunt teams from the CIDG Quezon PFU-RFU 4A, Quezon PPO and Lucena CPS nabbed an alleged member of the “Añonuevo Group” involved in robbery/hold-up and gunrunning operating in the 2nd and 3rd District of Quezon identified as ERNIE MAGLENTE y RAMIREZ a.k.a. “Kulog” or “Bugnoy” who is wanted for the crime of Robbery in Brgy. Antipolo, Pagbilao, Quezon.


On the same date, at about 8:30 PM, personnel from the CIDG RFU NCR based in Northern Metro Manila and DSOU NPD conducted a buy-bust operation resulting in the arrest of ALLEN GREGORIO y DAYSON a.k.a. “Len-Len” who is an alleged member of the “Bombay Gunrunning and Drug Pushing Group” operating in CAMANAVA area for selling a caliber .9mm pistol loaded with magazine and 5 ammunition to a poseur-buyer while his 3 cohorts identified as DANILO VENTURES y AJENA, JERICO VILLA y DEL FRADO and EMAN JOHN ESPINOZA y FERRER were apprehended while playing a game of chance (cara y cruz) in Brgy 12, Caloocan City.  Also seized by the operating units were a sling bag, buy-bust money, coins used as toss coins and bet money.


And on January 20, 2019 (Sunday), at around 3:30 PM, a fragmentation grenade was confiscated from the possession of MICHAEL ONAHON y ASIS who is an alleged member of the “Acunan Criminal Group” involved in gun-for-hire, gunrunning and illegal drug activities operating in Bukidnon and neighboring municipalities of Misamis Oriental by the Cagayan De Oro CFU and RFU 10, both of CIDG under the direct supervision of its Regional Chief, PSSUPT TOM TUZON during the implementation of a SW in Lower Sosohon, Brgy. Tankulan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.


Yape, Aglugub, De Leon and Gregorio were charged for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law) while Onahon was charged for violation of RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives). On the other hand, Ventures, Villa and Espinoza were charged for violation of PD 1602 (Illegal Gambling).   ###
