A Taiwanese allegedly a leader of a criminal gang and three (3) of his members were arrested by detectives of the CIDG based in Misamis Oriental together with Tagoloan MPS during separate manhunt operations in the afternoon of March 11, 2020 (Wednesday) in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

The arrested persons were named by PCOL HAROLD RAMOS, Regional Chief of CIDG RFU 10 as CHIU-LING SU y LIN (Taiwanese), CHRISTIAN TONG y MODARANG, MA. SHARON REMO y LOOD, and NENITO PIALAN y PILONGO, all wanted for violation of RA 8293 (Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines) under the Warrant of Arrest (WOA) issued by Hon. Dennis Z. Alcantar, Executive Judge of RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 18, Cagayan de Oro City.

Chiu-Ling Su and Remo were nabbed at around 1:00 PM in Timberwood Development Corp., Phividec Area of Zone 5, Brgy. Mohon, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. Meanwhile, Tong and Pialan were apprehended at about 3:00 PM in Zone 13, Poblacion and Zone 3, Sta. Cruz, both in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, respectively.

In a report to PMGEN JOEL NAPOLEON M CORONEL, CIDG Director, said Taiwanese and the 3 others are the alleged leader and members of the “Singkit Group” engaged in Cigarette Smuggling and Counterfeiting operating in the province of Misamis Oriental and neighboring provinces of Region 10. ###
