After 60 hours of continuous pursuit operation of the CIDG, YEONG JUN LIM was finally re-arrested at noon (around 12:10 PM) of October 13, 2020 (Tuesday) in front of Unionbank, Salamanca St., Makati City. 

YEONG JUN LIM was one of the Korean nationals who escaped on a rainy Saturday night (October 10, 2020 at 11:45 PM) from the CIDG Southern Metro Manila DFU Detention Cell, SPD Compound, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.  

Together with HYEOK SOO KWON, they planned and successfully executed their escape by strangling and mauling the duty jail officer that night, taking his service firearm, and jumping out the window. 

HYEOK SOO KWON was re-arrested first by the authorities, early Sunday (October 11, 2020) morning at a construction site in Brgy Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, wherein the stolen service firearm of the said duty jail officer was also found thereat. 

A criminal complaint for violation of Article 224 (Evasion through Negligence) of the RPC was filed against the duty jail officer before the Prosecutors Office of Taguig City.  He will also be subjected to pre-charge investigation to determine his administrative liability.  Cases for Robbery, Frustrated Murder, and violations of Art 148 (Direct Assault) and 149 (Indirect Assault) of the RPC were filed against the two Korean nationals before the Prosecutors Office of Taguig City.    ###
