Two (2) alleged members of a gambling group were arrested by manhunt team of the CIDG on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at about 8:00 AM in Brgy. Sagkahan and Brgy. Parag-um, both in Carigara, Leyte, respectively. 

One RANDY BACAY y BRUN and RAMIL PERIT y CESNEROS were apprehended by joint elements of CIDG NL PFU, Carigara MPS, LPPO PSOG and PHPT Leyte Norte by virtue of an Order of Arrest for violation of PD 449 (Cockfighting Law Of 1974) issued by Hon. Fidelina Quintana-Molina, Presiding Judge of MTC Carigara, Leyte. 

Both BACAY and PERIT are allegedly members of the “Perit Gambling Group” operating in Carigara, Leyte. 

In other news, detectives of CIDG Misamis Oriental PFU arrested 48-year-old JAIME ROA y LAPUTAN a.k.a. “Junjun” in the morning (10:30 AM) of October 17, 2020 (Saturday) in Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. 

ROA was nabbed on the strength of a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for violation of Section 11, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) issued by Hon. Henry B. Damasing, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Regional Branch 24, Cagayan De Oro City.    

Allegedly, ROA is a member of the “Jayson Group” engaged in robbery/extortion, snatching, Akyat Bahay, Illegal Drugs, and other illegal activities operating in Libertad, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan De Oro City, and other neighboring municipalities and cities of Misamis Oriental.    ###
