June 20, 2021 :

Two (2) Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and one (1) other were arrested during a weekend police operation of the CIDG in Agusan Del Sur, Agusan Del Norte, and Davao Oriental.

On Sunday, June 20, 2021, one RENANTE GAMO SEVILLA was arrested at about 5:00 PM in Zone 1 Brgy. Poblacion, Loreto, Agusan Del Sur by detectives of CIDG Davao De Oro PFU in coordination with New Bataan MPS by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for Murder under CC# 4581 WITHOUT BAIL, issued by Hon. Hilarion P. Clapis Jr., Judge of RTC 11th Judicial Region Branch 3, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley.

On the same date, 38-year-old SUMMY CATALAN y CATILLER was collared at 10:00 PM in P-4 A Beltran, (Camalig) Jabonga, Agusan Del Norte by combined elements of CIDG Agusan Del Norte PFU and Jabonga MPS for violations of Sec. 28 (A) of RA 10591 (Covers RA 9516, RA 8294 and PD 1866) under CC# Cr-2021-173 with recommended BAIL BOND amounting to Php100,000.00 and Illegal Possession, Manufacture, Acquisition of Firearms, Ammunition or Explosives (Sec. 3 of PD 1866 as amended by RA 8294 and RA 9516) under CC# CR-2021-174 with NO BAIL recommended, in the WOAs both issued by Hon. Fernando R Fudalan Jr, Presiding Judge of RTC, 10th JR, Br. 34, Cabadbaran City, Agusan Del Norte.

On an earlier date, June 19, 2021, RICKY JOHN MATUNDO y DELA PEÑA was nabbed at around 2:50 PM in Purok Mapantad, Brgy. Sainz, Mati City, Davao Oriental by CIDG Davao Oriental PFU in coordination with Mati CPS, on the strength of WOAs for violations of RA 9165 under CC# 8057 and 8058-19 WITHOUT BAIL and RA 9165 under CC# 8059-19 with Php40,000.00 bail, both issued by Hon. Angelita A. Alfonso-Tumanda, Judge of RTC 11th Judicial Region Branch 6, Mati City, Davao Oriental.

Based on reports, SEVILLA is tagged as No. 4 Municipal Level MWP in New Bataan, Davao De Oro, while MATUNDO is listed as the No. 1 City Level MWP in Mati City, Davao Oriental.

“Another round of manhunt operation resulted in the reduction of wanted persons roaming around and continuously eluding arrest and/or committing their crimes; nonetheless, the CIDG will ensure that sooner or later, with their relentless efforts in implementing their anti-criminality campaign, these felons will be captured and be made liable for their crimes,” said PMGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO, CIDG Director. ###
