In the ongoing manhunt operations conducted by the CIDG against those at-large and wanted by the law, three (3) men including two (2) Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) were arrested on Monday, June 21, 2021 in Camarines Sur, Taguig City, and Northern Leyte.

The said men were identified as ARNOLD PANUELOS SR. y BRIONES, JOHN GILBERT SALINAS a.k.a. “JANJAN,” and ANTONIO PABRO y MONSALUD a.k.a. “GENT”.

45-year-old PANUELOS was arrested by the CIDG Camarines Sur PFU and Calabanga MPS at around 5:45 PM in Zone 1, Brgy. Siba-o, Calabanga, Camarines Sur for the crime of two (2) counts of Rape under CC Nos. 21-3473 and 21-3474 in the Warrants of Arrest (WOAs) issued by Hon. Erwin Virgilio Poblete Ferrer, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Br. 63, 5th Judicial Region Calabanga, Camarines Sur with NO BAIL recommended.

While the CIDG Southern Metro Manila DFU served a WOA against 37-year-old SALINAS at about 8:20 PM at CIDG SMMDFU, Lawton Ave., Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City for the crime of Murder (RPC ART. 248) under CC No. TC-2021-238 issued by Hon Sylvia A Singidas-Machacon, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 16, Tangub City with NO BAIL recommended. The accused was previously arrested for violation of RA 9516 and while detained, several WOAs were also served against him also for the crime of Murder.

Meanwhile, PABRO was arrested by combined elements of CIDG Southern Leyte PFU, Mahaplag MPS, Naval MPS, RIU Biliran, CIDG Biliran, and 14IB, 8ID Avengers 14 at around 11:01 PM in Brgy. Maligaya, Mahaplag, Northern Leyte for three (3) counts of Statutory Rape (Art. 256-A (1)(d) of the RPC docketed under CC Nos. N-3914, N-3915, and N-3916 in the Order of Arrest issued by Hon. Constantino F. Esber, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 16, Naval, Biliran with NO BAIL recommended.

Accordingly, SALINAS is listed as the No. 4 Provincial Level MWP in Misamis Occidental and PABRO is tagged as the No. 4 Provincial Level MWP in Biliran who is an alleged member of the “SURIGAO Group” responsible in child prostitution in Southern Leyte and adjacent municipalities.

PMGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO, CIDG Director said that they will continue to dig and search for other WOAs of the said suspects, if there are any and ensure that said suspects will be held accountable for every crime they have committed. ###
