A 34-year-old man listed as Eastern Samar’s Most Wanted Person (MWP) was arrested on Monday afternoon (July 12, 2021 at about 4:30 PM) in Rodriguez, Rizal.
Together with the Eastern Samar PIU, detectives of CIDG Women and Children Complaints Unit (WCCU) served a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) against LORETO SAWLOG a.k.a. “Rodrigo Loreto Jr” at his residence at Blk 33, Lot 14, Phae1K2, Brgy San Jose, Phase 1K2, Brgy San Jose, Montalban, for violation of Art 248 (MURDER) of the RPC issued by Hon Julian Adalim-White, Presiding Judge of Branch 5, Oraz, Eastern Samar with NO BAIL recommended.
On an earlier date, July 11, 2021 at about 1:00 PM, 33-year-old RAYMOND ESPLANDERO y ABASOLA was arrested combined elements of CIDG Quezon PFU, Catanauan MPS, 405th RMFB 4A, and Lucena CPS in Purok 1-A Ilaya, Brgy. Dalahican, Lucena City by virtue of a WOA for five (5) counts of RAPE (violation of Art 266-A) docketed under CC Nos. 2008-875, 2008-876, 2008-877, 2008-878, and 2008-879 issued by Hon Aristotle M. Reyes, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 54, Lucena City, Quezon, also with NO BAIL recommended.
SAWLOG and ESPLANDERO are listed as No. 1 Provincial Level and No. Regional Level MWPs in Eastern Samar, Leyte and CALABARZON Region, respectively.
“The manhunt operation takes place once a suspect hides and no matter how good he is at hiding and avoiding arrest, remember, wherever he goes, he will leave traces behind. Coupled with our intensified anti-criminality campaigns, the CIDG will use those traces so that suspects will be arrested and imprisoned,” says CIDG Director, PMGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO.
