A 31-year-old Most Wanted Person (MWP) in Laua-an, Antique was arrested on the very first day of August 2021 in Paranaque City by manhunt teams from CIDG Antique PFU, DSOU-CIDG, QCPD-DID, Laua-an MPS, and 2nd PFMC.

The authorities arrested JOEVET GARMINO y TONGCUA in his residence in Fourth Estate Subd., Brgy. San Antonio, Paranaque City on the strength of a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for MURDER issued by Hon. Mario G Andres JR., Presiding Judge of 6th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 64, Bugasong, Antique Station Calixto O Zaldivar Hall of Justice, San Jose, Antique docketed under CC No. 1334.

On an earlier date (July 31, 2021), another wanted person was also arrested in a manhunt operation launched by detectives of CIDG Laguna PFU together with PIU, Laguna PPO and Biñan CPS at around 4:20 PM in Brgy. Canlalay, Biñan City, Laguna.

The suspect was identified as 49-years-old DURAN SANTILLANA y SIMAGALA who is wanted for violation of Section 11 of RA 9165 with CC No. 1346-B-2018 in the WOA issued by Hon. Jaime E. Banatin, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 152, Biñan City, Laguna.

Both suspects are currently under the temporary custody of the CIDG arresting units while waiting for their commitment orders from their respective courts of origins.

CIDG Director, PMGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO said that despite the threats posed by COVID-19 particularly the surge of Delta Variant in the country, the men and women of the CIDG will be fearless in relentlessly implement its anti-criminality campaigns against wanted persons and other criminal and illegal activities.
