PMGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO, CIDG Director has already directed for the immediate administrative relief of CIDG Quezon City DFU personnel who were involved in alleged extortion on Tuesday, August 11, 2021.

The order was released after an information was received by the CIDG NCR on the activity transpired in the said DFU. Accordingly, the personnel involved were demanding for cash amounting to Php3 Million in exchange for the liberty of 32-year-old ADRIAN DOMINIC ANG, owner ADA Farm Agriventure.

A team was immediately dispatched for a possible entrapment operation, however, due to lack of coordination with the complainant, no police operation was materialized.

“Ipinag-utos po natin sa Regional Chief ng CIDG NCR ang agarang pag-relieve sa mga nasabing tauhan ng CIDG Quezon City DFU at ilagay sila sa kostodiya ng CIDG headquarters para sa imbestigasyon,” said CIDG Director.

The Regional Chief of CIDG NCR Field Unit also directed the said personnel to explain their involvement in the accusation, while ANG was also invited to shed light on the matter.

In earlier reports, ANG was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for violation of RA 8799 (The Securities and Regulation Code), whose corporation or firm was one of those ordered by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) to stop operation for investment scam activities in Cebu.

Currently, the CIDG is conducting its thorough investigation on the matter and if evidence warrants it, administrative and criminal cases will be filed against those personnel.

“Hindi ko po pinahihintulutan ang ganitong maling gawain sa aking hanay. Bilang ama ng CIDG, I will be strict, never tolerate illegal activities and enforce due punishment to those who violate our policies and directives. This is also in accordance to the Internal Cleansing Program (ICP) of our CPNP PGEN GUILLERMO LORENZO T ELEAZAR, “ added PMGEN FERRO.
