The intensified campaign of the CIDG against wanted persons resulted in the arrest of four rape suspects and one accused of murder in separate manhunt operations on Thursday, August 12, 2021, in Samar, Batangas City, South Cotabato, and Capiz.

Arrested Rape suspects were identified as MARK ANGELO BERDAN y Acedera under the warrant issued by HONORABLE TARCELO A. SABARRE JR., Presiding Judge of RTC, Br. 30 Basey, Samar dated July 19, 2021, ANGELO BERDAN y Acedera and JOHN REY VIDUYA y Dugan for two counts of Qualified Rape (RPC ART 266-B) under CC No. 21-28498 to 28499 issued by HONORABLE CYNTHIA MARIÑO RICABLANCA, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 1, Batangas City dated August 6, 2021, and CARLITO BRANZUELA Jr. y Sarmiento issued by HONORABLE BENJAMIN R. LANZADERAS, Presiding Judge of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur dated April 24, 2015.

Meanwhile, in Brgy. Gabuan, Roxas City, Capiz, Murder suspect RAYMOND GARDOSE y Excil was arrested on the strength of Warrant of Arrest under CC# C-20-2095-06 issued by HONORABLE ROMMEL L. LEONOR Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 21, Mambusao, Capiz dated June 24, 2020.

Suspect Berdan is a member of "PUNO GROUP" engaged in illegal recruitment and prostitution activities in the municipalities of Basey, Sta. Rita and Marabut, Samar, while Viduya and Gardose
ranked No. 9 MWP (Regional Level) of CALABARZON and Top 8 MWP (Municipal Level) of Tapaz MPS, respectively.

CIDG Director, PMGEN ALBERT IGNATIUS D FERRO lauds the intensified operations against these violators of women’s and human rights. "The fight will continue to pursue these criminals with absolute resolve to put them behind bars," says PMGEN FERRO.
