An alleged member of the Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang and three (3) others were arrested by detectives of the CIDG in separate manhunt operations in Manila, Cebu, and Maguindanao.

The suspects were identified as FELIX ZABALA y MIDEN, a 40-year-old pedicab driver and said to be a member of Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang, 30-year-old RAYMOND ROXAS y ESPELETA, 33-year-old PHILIP APARRI y UMPAD, and 45-year-old JIMMY MABANDES a.k.a. “JAMES MAVANDES”.

ZABALA and ROXAS were arrested by the CIDG Manila DFU in coordination with the Manila Police District at around 2:45 AM of August 30, 2021 (Monday) at Bldg 5, Unit 520 Permanent Housing, Balut, Tondo, Manila for the crime of Attempted Homicide in the Warrant of Arrest (WOA) issued by Hon. Phrincess Ma Bajarias-Hermogeno, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 48, Manila docketed under CC No. R-MNL-18-14735-CR and about 10:40 AM of August 28, 2021 (Saturday) in Barangay Hall of Brgy. 53, Zone 4, District 1, Manila for violation of RA 7610 in the WOA issued by Hon. Jacqueline S. Martin-Balictar, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 09, Manila docketed under CC No. R-MNL-21-06016-CR, respectively.

Meanwhile, joint elements of CIDG Mandaue CFU served a WOA against APARRI on Saturday (August 28, 2021) at around 6:20 PM at the CIDG Custodial Facility, Camp Sotero Cabahug, Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City for the crime of RAPE (RPC ART 266-A) dockete4d under CC No. M-R-LLP-21-00602-CR issued by Hon. Jose Alfonso Maliper Gomos, Presiding Judge of 7TH Family Court Branch 5, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

While, MABANDES was arrested at about 2:30 PM of August 30, 2021 (Monday) in Poblacion, Ampatuan, Maguindanao by combined elements of CIDG Cotabato CFU, PIU Maguindanao PPO, and Ampatuan MPS for violation of RA 10022 (Act amending RA 8042 otherwise known as THE MIGRANT WORKERS AND OVERSEAS FILIPINO ACT OF 1995) in the WOA issued by Hon. Kasan Kusain Abdulrakman, Executive Judge of 12th Judicial Region, Branch 27, Cotabato City docketed under CC No. 2021- 12280.
