Three (3) men were caught in an entrapment operation against loose firearms conducted by the CIDG NCR on September 9, 2021 (Thursday) in Barangay Sta Ana, Pateros, Manila wherein two (2) firearms, several ammunition, and over half a million pesos worth of suspected shabu were seized from their possession.

The suspects were identified as FRANCIS MARIANO y LONTOK a.k.a. “Kambal”, JOHN PETER VILLAMAR y VILLASOR, and RODEL SOLOMON y CASPE, all are said to be members of the “Loloy Fernandez Group” engaged in illegal drugs, gunrunning, and gun-for-hire activities in the southern part of Metro Manila and Region 4A.

Confiscated were a caliber .38 revolver, caliber .9mm pistol, a caliber .9mm magazine, several rounds of ammunition, marked money, a sling bag and a pouch. Thirty-one (31) plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing MOL 74 grams worth Php503,200.00 were also recovered by the CIDG.

The trio were charged for violation of RA 10591 and RA 9165 before the Prosecutor Office of Pateros. They also have pending cases for the same offense in RTC NCR for their involvement in the July 2021 police operation in Taguig City.

CIDG Director PMGEN Albert Ignatius Ferro lauded the "relentless and intensified anti-criminality campaign" of the police that amounted to the success of the said operation.

“Rest assured that we will be in the frontline and ever ready to step further in our battle against criminality,” he added.
