The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group along with the Philippine Army and San Fernando MPS filed five criminal cases against members of the Malayag Guerilla Front (GF), Sub Regional Committee 2, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee on September 13, 2021 (Monday) at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

Cases for violation of RA 11479 (The Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020), RA 9208 (Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act), RA 9851 (Philippine Act on Crimes Against International Humanitarian Law, Genocide and other Crimes against Humanity), RA 11181 (Special Protection of Children in Situations of Armed Conflict), and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) were filed by the CIDG RFU 10 against Joven Nai-ingi a.k.a. “Dodong,” Poye Makadingding a.k.a. “Mikay,” Ludina Mansayloan a.k.a. “Martina,” Maria Fe Bulaybulay a.k.a. “Nikki,” Amalia Sedum a.k.a. “Martina,” Mary Jane Antihao a.k.a. “Kebs,” Marmar Salusad a.k.a. “Daniel,” Sito Mantoaw a.k.a. “Manman,” Botsoi Abalang and fifteen at-large others.

The filing of cases stemmed from the encounter that transpired between the Philippine Army and the said guerilla front on September 2021 in Brgy. Mabuhay, San Fernando, Bukidnon that resulted in the apprehension of said suspects, the rescue of a 10-year-old, and death of four, all members of the said GF while two were wounded in the Army side. Likewise, the confiscation of 26 assault rifles and assorted personal items.

“This group is engaged in terrorist acts in the said province endangering the lives of the community and the complainants. They have been using a recruitment scheme to persuade minors in joining the armed group wherein some of the arrested persons were minors at the time they were recruited,” PMGen Albert Ignatius D Ferro, CIDG Director said.

“Ipinagutos na rin po natin sa ating Regional Chief, RFU 10 na alamin kung may iba pang kasong kriminal na kinakaharap ang mga suspek,” added Director CIDG.

All captured rebels undergone COVID-19 RT-PCR Test wherein two are found to be infected with one who is positive for Delta variant.
