A lady who poses as a Police Officer was collared in an entrapment operation for Large Scale Estafa and Carnapping by the CIDG and PNP local units on September 14, 2021 (Tuesday) in Cabagan, Isabela.

22-year-old Jebelyn Canceran Buncag a.k.a “Major Sharynyl Raffin,” was arrested due to the complaints lodged by her victims, who claimed that she introduced herself as a Police Major of the PNP SAF and that she guarantees entry into the PNP or AFP service in exchange for a sum of money.

Allegedly, Buncag demands from each of her victims an amount ranging from Php500,000.00 to Php700,000.00 to guarantee entry in their projected line of service. She, accordingly, swooped over Php1.3 million in cash collections from various applicants.

Recovered in her possession were marked and boodle money, and a MIU SOUL Yamaha 125. The said motorcycle was reported as stolen by Alexander Macapulay Jr (one of the complainants) to Cauayan City Police Station and the Highway Patrol Group.

“We would like to remind again the public not to patronize such illegal activity just to enter the PNP and AFP service. Huwag po tayong maniwala sa mga pangakong may kapalit na halaga. There are procedures we follow to be part of these prestigious organizations,” says CIDG Director, PMGen Albert Ignatius D Ferro.
