The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group based in Masbate City filed a criminal case for violation of RA 9851 also known as Philippine Act on Crime Against International Humanitarian Law, Genocide, and Other Crimes Against Humanity against the communist terrorist group at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Masbate City on November 4, 2021.

The complaint was filed against CPP-NPA-NDF Chairman Emeritus JOSE MARIA SISON, BENITO ENRIQUEZ TIAMSON @ Ka Celo/Iyyo/Ka Lot/Crising Banaag/Jing, WILMA AUSTRIA TIAMSON @ Ka Wing/Didith/Jana/Pinay/Sering/Ria/Ka Azon/Isabel/Suarez/Edith (couple Tiamson were both Ex-CPP Chairman) and 43 CTG members for the death of NORBERTO BURI y CAPILI and PERLITO CORTES Y ADONGAY.

Buri, 27, was found dead inside a construction company’s truck near the boundary of Brgys Cabas-an and Dayhagan. Suspected members of the New People’s Army allegedly shot him mistaking him to be a former rebel hiding from them in Aroroy Masbate. While Cortes was said to be a member of the Communist Terrorist Group and was killed during an armed encounter between CTGs and Government Troops in Brgy. Eastern Capsay, Baleno, Masbate.
