The operatives of CIDG arrested three suspects wanted for rape in separate operations on November 22, 2021.
The Director of CIDG, PMGEN Albert Ignatius D Ferro identified the wanted persons as Salvador Querido Sr y Sumera, John Paul Perez y Nueva Ariel, and Julito Cabugnason Jr y Dela Cruz a.k.a. Jolito Cabugnason Jr. y Gardoce.
Salvador Querido, a 77-year old widower, was listed as City Most Wanted Person of Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. Querido was wanted for the crime of Statutory Rape through Sexual Assault in Relation to RA 7610. CIDG Pangasinan Provincial Field Unit (PFU) arrested Querido at the Cultural and Sports Center, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, on November 20, 2021. PMGEN Ferro disclosed that the suspect’s victim was allegedly his grandchild.
Meanwhile, the CIDG Director said that personnel of Negros Occidental PFU arrested John Paul Perez after a 4-day surveillance in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. Judge Reginald Mercurio F. Fuentebella of Regional Trial Court (RTC) 6th Judicial Region, San Carlos City, issued the arrest warrant for four counts of rape. Perez is listed as No. 17 Most Wanted Person of Toboso Municipal Police Station and a member of Malvas Group, a newly identified Criminal Group engaged in illegal drugs, robbery hold-up, and gun-for-hire activities operating in the southern part of Negros Occidental.
Next to fall was rape suspect Julito Cabugnason in Brgy Taculing, Bacolod City, by the same police operatives from Negros Occidental PFU, CIDG 6. Cabugnason’s arrest emanated from a warrant issued by Judge Ray Alan T Drilon of RTC Branch 41, Bacolod City. Cabugnason had been in hiding and eluding arrest for almost five years now.
