Operatives of Baguio City CIDG together with the PNP local units launched a series of manhunt operations against three of Baguio City's Most Wanted Persons and one other in consonance with the OPLAN PAGTUGIS, an anti-criminality program thrust included in the Target Output Policy of the CIDG.

First to fall on the said manhunt operation was a fugitive for almost a decade identified as GEFTI BASTIAN BAGSANGI alias “JORGE” who was arrested on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Balsigan Road, Baguio City. He is listed as the No. 4 MWP in the city.

Meanwhile, two more MWPs were put behind bars after Warrants of Arrest were implemented against them on March 10, 2022 in Bacbacan, KM 4, Brgy. Asin Road. BENJAMIN GOLIA TIYAD was collared for the crime of Homicide while SAVINA BAYAONA GUINAWAN was nabbed for Estafa. The suspects are tagged as the No.5 and No. 6 MWP, both in Baguio City, respectively. In a follow-up police operation of the same date, suspect LISTEN LAWAGAN DONATO was apprehended for Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide.

Regional Chief of CIDG RFU14, PCol Juliet Salvador said in her report to PBGen Eliseo DC Cruz, Director of CIDG, said that the successful arrests of the wanted persons was due to the continuous information gathering and cooperation of the community to tract and locate the whereabouts of the suspects.

PBGen Cruz lauded the personnel of CIDG Baguio for their relentless efforts and initiatives at the same time the community’s participation to support the anti-criminality campaign of the CIDG and of the PNP. “These accomplishments reaffirm the commitment of CIDG in fulfilling their mandates of ensuring the public to make their homes and communities a safer and more secure place to live, work, study, and do business,” added CIDG Chief.
