CIDG Regional Field Office Cordillera operatives led the arrest of No.1 TMWP Regional Level of Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit Cordillera for CY2022 together with other PNP units in consonance with the OPLAN PAGTUGIS, an anti-criminality program thrust included in the Target Output Policy of the CIDG.

ROMENICK FERNANDO ROXAS aka NINO CORTEZ who is facing Criminal Charges for violations of RA No.9995 “Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009”; RA 9262 “Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004"; and Grave Threats falls into the hands of the authorities during the manhunt operation conducted on March 16, 2022, in Poblacion, La Trinidad, Benguet was put behind bars after implementing the Warrants of Arrest against him.

Accordingly, the offense was committed on October 29, 2021, when the accused through Facebook Messenger with the account name "Nino Cortez", unlawfully and intentionally send a nude photograph of his girlfriend, to the Facebook Messenger of the latter's sister without the latter's consent.

Roxas went into hiding at Malabon City, Metro Manila since the issuance of his three warrants last February 2022. Continuous monitoring and manhunt operations were conducted by CIDG operatives on the possible location of Roxas until his arrest.

The CIDG's successful arrest of the wanted person was due to the continuous information gathering and cooperation of the community to track and locate the whereabouts of the suspect".
