The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group held its culmination of the month-long celebration of the National Women’s Month on March 31, 2022, at the Headquarter CIDG in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City wherein its female personnel were brought together to take part in the day-long program that aimed to provide a day of nurture, self-development, and self-love.
With the theme, “Agenda ng Kababaihan Tungo Kaunlaran,” the celebration highlights Filipino women and girls’ achievements, as well as working towards the collective goal to achieve equality and empowerment through trailblazing opportunities and changes.
The day-long event was graced by Mrs. Letlet Cruz, OLC President as the Guest of Honor and was filled with wisdom, opportunities, and enjoyment for CIDG women personnel by guest resource persons.
Dra. Ma. Cecilia Mayuga Añes, M.D., FPOGS, FPSRM from The Medical City and Pasig City Gen. Hospital was among the speakers, who talked about the importance of Women’s Health. Her experience in the field definitely conveyed valuable knowledge to the participants to ensure their personal health and safety.
Also, Ms. Lornilia Estrada-Orig imparted her knowledge on spiritual and financial well-being, an aspect of life worth focusing on for holistic development.
On the topic of beauty and wellness, Mr. Jhonel Marayag, the official makeup artist for Miss World Philippines graced the activity with his artistry and passion for facial cosmetics. His experience added color to our program through his demonstration and gracious beauty tips.
Finally, the presence of Chef RV Manabat, a well-renowned chef, restaurateur, author, and vlogger cheered and thrilled the CIDG women with a live cooking demonstration. Chef RV and Mrs. Cruz taught the participants how to make Maja Blanca, a practicable desert as well as a viable business opportunity.
The event became an avenue for recognition of female personnel for their loyalty and service to CIDG whose contributions paved the way for the Group’s fulfillment of its mandates, administratively and operationally.
During her message, Mrs. Cruz stated that they are celebrating the formidable women who are committed to improving the lives and status of every woman in society, same with those women who are at home, molding the future leaders, the hope of tomorrow's generation.
While during his message, PMGen Eliseo DC Cruz recognizes and honors the efforts and sacrifices of women in all walks and fields of life, saying that women are more empowered than men for they can do more things that men themselves cannot.
