On Wednesday (April 13, 2022) afternoon, detectives of the CIDG Pampanga Field Unit and CIDG RFU3 along with the local PNP units and the Philippine Army collared three (3) women including a CTG Official during a police operation in Purok 3, Brgy. Mawaque, Mabalacat, Pampanga.

The CIDG identified the arrested said ladies as 63-year-old Evelyn Munoz y Cardinoza, 50-year-old Erlinda Lansang y Pineda, and 57-year-old Margarita Lansang y David.

Armed with a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) issued by Hon. Francis William M. Espinola, the Presiding Judge of Branch 68, Camiling, Tarlac, operating units proceeded to the residence of Munoz to place her under arrest for the crime of Murder. However, during the police operation, both Erlinda and Margarita Lansang tried to delay the service of the warrant by giving false information to mislead the arresting team.

The trio was arrested while rushing to leave the premise bringing with them their personal belongings. Recovered from their possession were the following pieces of evidence:

- One (1) caliber .45 Para Ordnance pistol;
- Two (2) magazine assemblies with 14 rounds of ammunition;
- Several Identification Cards depicting the ladies’ pictures with different names;
- Twenty-six (26) cellular phones;
- Three (3) laptops;
- Several USB;
- Subversive materials; and
- Cash in different denominations amounting to more or less Php400,000.00.

Investigation revealed that Evelyn Munoz holds the position of Secretary of the Central Luzon Regional Committee and member of the Central Committee, CPP. She is also the Acting Secretary of the National Finance Commission, still under the CPP.

Cases for obstruction of justice and using fictitious names will be filed against the Lansangs while another case for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition or RA 10591 will be filed against Erlinda Lansang.

This successful operation is in line with the CIDG Director’s guidelines of sustaining and enhancing their efforts to eradicate criminalities including terrorism through the implementation of the CIDG Program Thrusts.
