A total of 10 firearms in different calibers, ammunitions, and subversive documents were recovered by joint elements of CIDG detectives from Pampanga and Angeles City together with the PNP local units and Philippine Army on the morning of April 16, 2022 (Saturday) in Brgy Planas, Porac, Pampanga.

Five (5) caliber .22 rifles, two (2) 12-Guage shotguns, three (3) caliber .38 revolvers, assorted ammunition, and several subversive documents were discovered to be buried in a mountainous area of the said Barangay and believed to be issued to Militia ng Bayan (MB) of Sandatahang Yunit Pampropaganda (SYP) Platoon under Lino Blas Command (LBC), Komiteng Larangang Guerilla (KLG) West based in Porac-Florida-Dinalupihan Bataan area.

The recovery was based on the information obtained by the CIDG Pampanga Field Unit from a surrenderer, who during an interview revealed that he has personal knowledge of the killing of Atty. Anselmo Carlos and his driver, Marcial Manzano perpetrated by the Sparu Unit of SYP Platoon, LBC, KLG West on January of 2020 in Sta Rita, Pampanga because of the alleged several complaints about "Agaw Lupa" being handled by Atty. Carlos.

He also made mentioned the firearms which were issued to the said guerilla group to have been buried years ago in the mountainous area of Brgy Planas, Porac, Pampanga.

CIDG Director, PMGen Eliseo DC Cruz was pleased with the discovery of the said pieces of evidence which was a breakthrough in the progress of the investigation of Atty Carlos' killing.
