As part of its relentless campaign against wanted criminals, continuous manhunt operations are being conducted by elements of the CIDG resulting in the arrest of three (3) Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) in the afternoon of December 12, 2018 (Wednesday).
The No. 2 MWP in Malasiqui, Pangasinan identified as OSCAR BALLESTEROS y PRADO was nabbed for the crime of Murder by the CIDG RFU 1 based in Pangasinan supervised by its Regional Chief, PSSUPT ROMMEL OCHAVE together with the Bauang PS, at about 12:30 PM in Brgy. Paringao, Bauang, La Union.
While one PEPENG SILAT MATIBAY who ranks as the No. 3 Municipal Level MWP in Baganga, Davao Oriental was apprehended by joint elements from the CIDG Davao Oriental PFU led by PSUPT EDILBERTO LEAONARDO, Regional Chief, CIDG RFU 11 and Baganga MPS, at around 3:00 PM in Sitio Limot, Brgy. Binondo, Baganga, Davao Oriental for violation of RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Meanwhile, under the direct supervision of its Regional Chief, PSSUPT TOM TUZON, police operatives of the CIDG Misamis Occidental PFU and Jimenez MPS apprehended SERENIO DAMASON y ENRIQUEZ who is listed as the No. 8 Municipal Level MWP in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental and wanted for violation of RA 9304 (Mt. Malindang Range Natural Park Act of 2004), at about 3:10 PM in Brgy. Rizal, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental.
In other news, two (2) alleged members of a criminal gang were arrested on Wednesday morning (December 12, 2018 at 6:00 AM) in Sitio Saipudin, Brgy. Marangas, Bataraza, Palawan during the implementation of a Search Warrant (SW) by the CIDG Palawan PFU together with the Bataraza MPS, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) and Bantay Palawan.
Regional Chief, PSUPTJAMES ALLAN LOGAN said in his report to CIDG Acting Director, PCSUPT AMADOR V CORPUS, that MARVIN SAHID a.k.a. “Marvin Said y Sakiral” and RASHIMA SAHID a.k.a. “Rashima Said y Hassan”, both alleged members of the “Sahid Group” engaged in the proliferation of illegal selling of chemicals and explosive materials used for illegal fishing activities.
Authorities were able to seized four (4) meters of safety fuse, five (5) kilos of cyanide, 0.75 kilos of ammonium nitrate, 3 liters of gasoline, 5 blasting caps, a 12-guage shotgun and 3 rounds of ammunition.
Cases for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Law) and RA 9516 (Illegal Possession of Explosives) will be filed against the arrested persons. ###
