Another member and supporter of the notorious Maute Group and two (2) others were arrested during the implementation of a Search Warrant (SW) by the composite team from the CIDG Lanao Del Sur PFU, local police units, and the Philippine Army, earlier today (August 16, 2022 at 3:45 AM) Brgy Palao Ranao Ranao, Marantak, Lanao Del Sur.

The said SW was issued by Hon. Alberto P Quinto, the Presiding Judge of 12th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 21, Kapatagan, Lanao Del Norte and was implemented against MASTURA D DISOMALA, 43; SAMEN M MAMASAO, 23; and MOCA A GIAMBAL, 25. Confiscated from their possession and control were the following pieces of evidence:
 One (1) M16 caliber 5.56 with scope (AFP Property);
 One (1) M16 Colt caliber 5.56;
 One (1) M14 rifle;
 One (1) Ingram caliber 9mm;
 One (1) Colt Officers ACP caliber .45;
 One (1) hand grenade;
 One (1) caliber 5.56 rifle magazine with 20 rounds of ammunition;
 Two (2) caliber 7.56 rifle magazine with 29 rounds of ammunition;
 One (1) caliber 9mm magazine with 13 rounds of ammunition; and
 One (1) caliber .45 magazine with 7 rounds of ammunition.

Investigation revealed that DISOMALA is a known supporter of the Maute Group under Faharudin Hadji Satar a.k.a. “Abu Zacharia” operating in the area of Piagapo and a former Brgy Chairman who maintains private armed groups linked to the said group. He is also the nephew of a certain Arafat, a deceased Maute/ISIS member.

He is likewise a close relative of Macainding Banto Ditopor and Musa Banto Ditopor who are members of the “Magalayon Group” operating in Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte involved in kidnap-for-ransom, gun-for-hire, and gunrunning activities.

A complaint for violation of RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act is being readied for filing against the arrested persons.

“The CIDG reaffirms its commitment to protecting the nation against such notorious and lawless elements through intensification and continuous implementation of its anti-criminality campaigns, and this accomplishment is proof of it,” says PBGen Ronald O Lee, CIDG Director.
