September 5, 2002 - In the continuation of our investigation into the alleged forgery of our President's signature and counterfeiting of the government seal in the supposed appointment of Atty. Abraham Espejo as the new Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration, on Friday (September 2, 2022), from the five individuals, the CIDG have sent subpoenas to three at their registered addresses. Meanwhile, the current address of two other identified personalities continues to be ascertained.

"We seek the cooperation and full support of the three initially identified who have received the subpoena and hope their response to the invitation this week will help us uncover the truth through the information that they will be providing. Likewise, all pieces of information will be subject to further evaluation and validation," says CIDG Director, PBGEN RONALD O LEE

"Patuloy ang aming apela para sa mga maaaring may impormasyon tungkol sa nasabing insidente. Seryoso po ang pangyayaring ito at magpapatuloy ang malalim na pasisiyasat para sa ikalulutas ng mapangahas na gawaing ito," Director CIDG added.
