The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), through the constant implementation of arrest warrants, paved the way for the apprehension of several of the province's most wanted individuals.

In a recent operation of OPLAN "Pagtugis" in different regions, the CIDG operatives were able to apprehend three (3) Top Most Wanted Person (MWP), identified as:

1. JONATHAN COTELO MANDAP, Top 1 MWP of Pampanga arrested on the basis of a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) for the crime of Rape (RPC Art. 266-A) with NO BAIL recommended and Lascivious Conduct (R.A. No. 7610) with recommended bail of PhP200,000.00;

2. MARIO BAQUELTA a.k.a MARIO MAKOSADO BAQUILTA, ranked Top 1 MWP of Cebu City was nabbed by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of six (6) counts of Rape under Art. 266-A of Revised Penal Code with NO Bail Recommended; and

3. ELMO GALUS GUMALOG listed as Top 10 MWP of Pangasinan and No. 1 MWP of Pozzurubio Municipality, Pangasinan which was apprehended through a WOA for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610 with recommended bail amounting to PHP 200,000.00.

Arrested individuals are now being held in their respective arresting field units awaiting the issuance of a commitment order from the issuing court.

Moreover, PBGen Ronald O Lee, CIDG Director, praises the prompt operatives for a job well done after imposing a successful arrest against these most wanted individuals. "This is a warning to those who are still at large, thinking they can hide from the long arm of the law and elude arrest, know that CIDG is relentless in its commitment to apprehend all wanted criminals in order that they may be bound to answer before the courts of justice," the Director added.
