This is a meek and humble gesture of appreciation coming from an arrested Child In-Conflict with the Law (CICL) after he wrote a simple letter on a piece of cardboard hung in his cell, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the members of CIDG after his release from custody.

Jamire, a high school student, was apprehended on September 8, 2022, by the detectives of Tarlac CIDG by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for being implicated during an altercation resulting in physical injuries.

He has to wait at least two (2) weeks before coming up with the bail bond because he only has his sister with him and has no one else to turn to for assistance because of their broken family.

Seeing this, members of Tarlac CIDG were moved by his story and felt compassion for Jamire’s condition in life, which led them to take an initiative to lend a helping hand, providing food, shelter, and even financial assistance in support of his bail.

After his release, Jamire was reunited with his sister and made a pledge that no matter how difficult life gets, he will continue and finish his education, distance himself from negative influences, and live a law-abiding life with the goal of one day becoming a police officer who will set a good example to others.

This may have inspired Jamire to write a brief note of appreciation to the members of CIDG Tarlac who have motivated him to improve in life and who have shown him that even if we make wrong decisions, God will send instruments to help us change our perspectives.

CIDG Director, PBGen Ronald O Lee, applauded the officers of CIDG Tarlac, indeed an act of kindness cannot be gauged or measured and such can lead to a thousand appreciations. May this action be an example to others as we uphold the Chief PNP’s tag line “Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan, tungo sa Kaunlaran. Let us be ambassadors of community development, helping hand in hand towards a Life that is beautiful.
